Mary Vince was born about 1784. At the age of 19 she was murdered by James Vince, a relative of her mother's, who stabbed her in her bed with a knife.
James was declared insane and ordered to be kept 'in a secure place until recovered of his insanity or lunacy'.
James Vince married Sarah Ratcliff in Layham 14 November 1815.
William Vince married Sarah or Mary Lappage in Layham 23 September 1815.
Joanna Vince married Barnabas Turner in Layham 20 April 1809.
