Mildred Bateman (1686 - 1734)
Mildred was born 15 May 1686 in Brettenham, Suffolk.
They were married 22 October 1706 in Hitcham, Suffolk. George was 25, Mildred 20. Mildred died in Felsham in 1734 aged 48 and was buried 2 Aug 1734. George died there in 1753 aged 72 and was buried 23 June.

Henry Gladwell (1714 - 1788)
Henry was born 13 October 1714 in Felsham. He married twice.
Firstly he married Hannah Drake 27 January 1745 in Gedding, Suffolk. Their children, all baptised in Felsham, were Henry (1746), William (1748), Hannah *** (1750), Prudence (1752), Mary (1753), Amy (1754), James and
John (both 1756, and both died the following year), Ann (1758), Samuel (1760), James and Elizabeth (both 1763). The last two died before their first birthday and possibly at birth. Hannah also died in 1763 and was buried 7 April.
Alice Smyth (c.1714 - 1771)
Alice may have been born in Felsham in 1714, The daughter of William Smyth and Ann Atkin.
They were married in Felsham 30 September 1763, six months after the death of his first wife. Alice died there in childbirth in 1771 and was buried 6 March. Henry died there in 1788, aged 74, and was buried 10 November.

Joseph Gladwell was born 27 Mar 1790. He married Mary Ann .... and had at least five children, Charlotte (c.1825), Mary Ann (c.1831), Ellen (c.1836), Edward (c.1839) and John (c.1843). Joseph died in 1863.

William Gladwell *** was born 6 January 1796. A thatcher, he married Lucy Nunn in Hessett, Suffolk, 5 November 1816.
They had ten children, William (1818) ***, Lucy (1819), Joseph (1820) ***, Maria and Mary Ann (both 1822), John (1824), Anna (1825), John (1826), Henry (1828) and Sarah (1831).
Thomas Gladwell *** was baptised 13 November 1803. He married Mary Gowers in Onehouse, Suffolk, 5 April 1827.
Their children were Maria (1828), Robert (1831), Thomas (1835) and Mary Ann (1837). Mary was 12 years older than Thomas and may have been a widow, as she had three children, Sophia (1820), Robert (1823) and Kezia (1825) all with the surname Gowers.
Thomas died in January 1851.
John Gladwell *** was born 22 June 1804. He married Mary Dempster in Felsham in 1836. Their children were Emma (1837), George (1840), Henry (1842) ***, Sophia (1845), Lucy (1849)
and John (1852). John, senior, died in 1882.

Ann Abbott (1789 - 1849)
Ann was baptised 8 November 1789 in Thorpe Morieux, Suffolk, the daughter of George Abbot and Esther .........
They were married 2 October 1817 in Thorpe Morieux. Ann was 28, Henry about 26. In 1841 they were living at Colchester Green, Cockfield.
Henry died in Felsam in 1845, aged about 53, and was buried 16 June. Ann also died in Felsham in 1849, aged 59, and was buried 4 February.
