Thomas Shepherd (c.1778 - 1860)
Thomas was born in Rackhouse, Forfarshire, about 1778. He may have been the son of Robert Shepherd and Jannet Meal, baptised in Coupar Angus 18 January 1778.
Margaret Miller (1777 - 1871)
Margaret was born 31 July 1777 in Forfar, the daughter of Patrick Millar and Isabel Ramsay. She had a brother, James (1779) and two sisters, Katharine (1781) and Bettie (1783).
They were married in Dundee 24 August 1799. They were living in Barack Street, Dundee, in 1841, and at 25 Entry, Dundee, in 1851. Thomas was a sexton at the old burying ground in Dundee, aged 73.
Thomas died in Dundee 22 January 1860. Margaret died 7 April 1871, aged 93, also in Dundee.
